Master of Business Administration

Strayer University's Master of Business Administration (MBA) program offers a vigorous, broad-based education for working professionals from a wide range of backgrounds who wish to advance or enhance their business careers. With a curriculum that prepares adult students for the emerging knowledge economy, the MBA program and emphasizes the latest concepts, practices, and skills in today’s rapidly changing marketplace. Students may choose from concentrations in Acquisition, Human Resource Management, Management, Marketing, and Supply Chain Management.

The concentration in Acquisition is currently not available to residents of South Carolina and Tennessee.

 

Master in Health Services Administration

The Master of Health Services Administration (MHSA) program is designed to meet the needs of healthcare professionals and others in health services support industries who wish to obtain the knowledge and skills needed to assume mid-level and Executive level managerial positions in health services organizations. The health services administration program prepares students by training them to manage and direct the business aspects of healthcare. Specific careers for which this degree can help students prepare, as identified by the Accrediting Commission on Education for Health Services Administration (ACEHSA), include hospital administrators, healthcare managers, managed healthcare plan coordinators, and administrators in short and long-term residential facilities.

Master of Public Administration

The Master of Public Administration (MPA) is the professional degree for people who want to enter public service at the management level. The academic focus is on developing analytical, conceptual and practical competencies that are common to Strayer University’s Master of Business Administration degree, but emphasizing the “public” perspective of administration. The program is designed to meet the graduate education needs of working professionals who wish to advance their careers, as well as business professionals such as contractors and consultants who perform a major part of their jobs working in a government environment. The program's curriculum replicates content recommendations of the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration (NASPAA).

 

Master of Science in Management Information Systems

Designed to prepare managers for supervisory and strategic roles in information systems departments, the Master of Science in Management Information Systems (MSMS) combines technical courses with management courses for a well-rounded approach to Information Systems (IS). Practicing IS professionals will gain insight into the business side of IS management and a more thorough view of the application of IS to business problems. Non-technical professionals will improve their understanding of technology, as well as the implications of technology on business. Master of Science in Professional Accounting

The Master’s Degree in Professional Accounting (MSAC) program provides specialized, graduate-level education to students who seek positions as professional accountants in industry, government, and non-profit organizations. The program provides a well-balanced integration of theoretical accounting concepts and modern quantitative methods in decision-making. This program offers specializations that allow students to tailor their degrees to fit their careers and learning goals. It is an exciting educational option for students looking to increase their understanding, advance their careers, and expand their opportunities in the following areas: Accounting Information Systems, Controllership and Taxation. In addition, the MSAC program offers graduates much of the academic background necessary to pursue certification in public accounting (CPA) and management accounting (CMA).

 

Executive Graduate Certificates

Executive Graduate Certificate in Business Administration

The Executive Graduate Certificate in Business Administration program was designed for mid- and senior-level managers, professional and technical specialists, and individuals seeking career changes or increased job opportunities. The curricula encompass the knowledge and skills needed in pertinent professional areas. Within this curriculum, students have the option of choosing an emphasis in Human Resource Management, Management, Marketing, Acquisition, and Supply Chain Management. The recipient of the Executive graduate certificate may apply all credits earned toward a Master of Business Administration.

The concentrations of Acquisition and Supply Chain Management are currently not available to residents of Tennessee.
